Resource Renewal Project (RRP) is a stewardship initiative designed to strengthen the financial health of nonprofit organizations through procurement best practices, more efficient processes, and reduced costs.

RRP was created in 2004 when a group of 15 churches and schools asked Coleman Group Consulting to help evaluate and select prefered suppliers to reduce expenses and improve services. With our assistance, this group was able to mobilize the power of community, earning increased savings, better customer support, and bonus add-on services from suppliers - the only item that changed was the price.

From this humble beginning, RRP has grown into a comprehensive purchasing program that now includes over 20 distinct procurement programs with over 30 suppliers, servicing more than 500 nonprofit organization throughout the international Catholic community. But spending less is only part of the solution. RRP further assists organizations by helping them to spend wisely with a goal and mission-oriented focus. After more than 10 years of experience and $140M of savings, we know our process works. Setup for new clients is quick and painless with savings realized within two to four weeks.

Our preferred suppliers represent some of the most admired brands in the U.S. such as Staples, The Home Depot, Bank of America, UPS, and Canon. For several program, you have a choice between multiple options. All of our suppliers are chosen based on your input so supplier features align with organizational needs.

RRP recognizes that an organization’s most valuable asset is its staff - a team dedicated to fulfilling its mission. So we help you take care of your staff with special employee discounts on professional and personal purchases from participating suppliers.
Currently the dioceses of Chicago, Rockford, Springfield, Joliet, and Peoria are all members of RRP. If your organization is a member or affiliate of any of these dioceses you are also a member.

The power of the RRP to connect your organization with programs and suppliers comes from all of our members working with us. Together we can negotiate better pricing and services as well as learn from each of our experiences to grow all of our organizations and focus on our missions.
RRP works through our proprietary methodology, DANCE, which is designed to minimize effort and maximize savings opportunities. It differs from a conventional approach in that it begins by defining how success will be measured, and it ends with validating the success of implementation. A disproportionately greater amount of effort is expended on the areas of data analysis, preparation for negotiation, and implementation, with the actual negotiation playing a comparatively small role. Our unique process ensures the long-term, quantifiable success of our agreements.
There are no fees for your location to participate.
With most of our suppliers, the first, best call is to them directly. There are some programs, however, that are sufficiently complicated, such as Wireline and Internet that your first call should be to RRP.
